“WE ARE ALL, THROUGH OUR VARIED LIFE STORIES, A LIBRARY OF INFORMATION...

…and in order to raise awareness of our experiences, encourage forgiveness and self-love, inspire hope,  increase vulnerability, and initiate the process of healing, we must commit to dig deep, open up, and share our stories.

We must share our stories to reduce the pain, trauma, shame and guilt, the embarrassment and misunderstanding not only for and within ourselves, but among one another.

That is the core intention of our Community Journal. Here, we’ll curate short stories of how others have learned to overcome adversities related to mental health and addiction.

- Ms. Marisha Dixon, Founder & Chief Experience Officer

Below are the stories of our community - stories of chaos, change, and challenge - and the SOULutions that have led to a journey accompanied by acknowledgement, compassion, understanding, forgiveness, and life reimagined.

I Am Because You Are.

Dr. Kevin Patterson Shares 3 Mental Health Moments He Experienced That Change The Trajectory of His Personal and Professional Life Forever.

I constantly find myself overwhelmed. I’m an overachiever. I stretch myself too thin to wear many hats because I can’t fathom the idea of failing at my roles. So I am faced with anxiety and depression that I have to overcome to overachieve because I’ve never known bare minimum - Kristi Dunlap, Midweek Movement Facilitator

Share Your Story

Do you have a mental health moment or life event that became one of your greatest teachers? Want to share those lessons of hope, strength, and new beginnings with the world?

Whatever it is, your story can make all the difference and we want to hear from you.

We will use this page to curate a Community Journal of short stories that highlight not only our mental health moments that changed our life, but the tools and practices we use(d) to navigate them.
